The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has initiated the VIRTUA project to investigate the potential of blockchain for managing approved aircraft components. Collaborating with blockchain startup SkyThread, FPT Software, International Air Transport Association (IATA), and PwC France, the project will study various blockchain applications for aircraft part management.

China thinks its real-world social credit system, where every person has a unique ID that's easy to track and shared with law enforcement, would work well for all online worlds and metaverses. A proposal of a "Digital identity System" for anyone using a virtual online world or metaverse has been drafted by state-owned telecom company China Mobile and reviewed by Politico.


🎆 [𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐦 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲] NIST Releases Four PQC Algorithms For Standardization. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is soliciting feedback on three draft Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) concerning quantum-resistant cryptographic algorithms. These drafts, namely FIPS 203, 204, and 205, propose key establishment and digital signature mechanisms designed to counteract potential threats posed by quantum computers to current standards.
